Fife Council Consortium - Employability Fund

The employability fund is a new fund introduced by Skills Development Scotland to have a more flexible approach, which involves a 3-stage pipeline to help address Youth Unemployment, targeting 16 - 24 year olds.  The Consortia will help more people into jobs and develop the skill base for a thriving local economy.  This is in line with Local and national Governement policies for reducing youth unemployment.

There are 9 partner organisations within the Consortia who will create doverse opportunties for young people.  This programme develops the employability or work readiness of individuals for employment. The Fife Consortia members delivering the Employability Fund are: Momentum, West Fife Enterprise, Employment Enterprise, Princes Trust, Xtra- Mile, Lever Training, Oilean and Workers Educational Association and Fife Council.

Since April 13, Employability Fund has replaced the Get Ready for Work Programme.
