About the Role  

We have an opportunity for someone to join our Sustainability team for a fully participative  internship.

There will be some key areas of focus for the intern to:

  • Assist in the management of our current sustainability projects, based on the intern's existing skills and capabilities. This can range from green space to sustainable care, procurement or active travel and  will involve site visits, meeting local partner organisations and NHS Fife employees to help improve our sustainability goals across our sites.
  • Aid in the development of our EMS (Environmental Management System) The intern will be familiarized with key policies and procedures and help the team assess compliance with environmental legislation across the sectors.

  • Data analysis skills, evidence of turning data into SMART goals and biodiversity strategy, yielding measurable positive impact
  • Ability to present reports and key findings 
  • Determined and resilient 

Personal Qualities

  • Knowledge of/interest in environmental and sustainability issues
  • Passion and experience working with/driving innovation, sustainability 
  • Project management skills and experience 
  • Experience in events, and/or Marketing and/or communication projects
  • Ability to learn how to run meetings (awareness, training etc) to profile good practice, discuss key issues and develop networks.

Required Qualification Level

Preference for those with a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Climate Science, Environmental science, geography, sustainability, biodiversity/biology or management
