FJC - Meet The Team - Life Chances

Published:28 August 2024

The FIfe Job Contract, co-ordinates and delivers the Life Chances Programme. This programme is unique in its approach to developing the workforce and providing a possible pathway to a sustainable job. Working within the multiple Directorates within Fife Council the Life Chances Employability Officers have provided over 50 opportunities.

Heading up the programme delivery is Stuart Don, Centre & Partnership Co-ordinator with a dedicated team working alongside and in close contact with each of the partnership directorates.

Silvia Ilinca, Employability Compliance Officer, is kept on her toes. Meeting the compliance requirements can be challenging. The information is essential to the reporting to Stakeholders and the Scottish Government. Getting this right allows the Fife Job Contract to resource additional funding to further support positive outcomes.

Martin Williams and Dongmei ‘Mei’ Zhao, Employability Officers are at the frontline of the Life Chances Programme, working directly with the clients and supervisors within each directorate.

Both Martin and Mei also carry additional duties with a caseload within the FJC programme and our supported employers.

Within Life Chance, the aim is to move the clients from the programme into a sustainable position within the Council. The initial support provided allows the client to gain skills, knowledge and training.
